We are an international team, working from eight different locations across the UK, Cyprus and India. But we are also one team, combining experience and flexibility. Sector and skill experts are matched to each project across the practice, so that every project can be delivered efficiently and by the right team.
Siddhant’s organised and composed way of working ensures that all projects are efficiently managed, and that clients, end users and consultants are consistently happy with our deliverables. He brings stability and trust to the organisation, always leading by example. This has resulted in a congenial working environment, and has steadily grown our Delhi studio’s reputation. Siddhant also brings a clear understanding of design and project management to the practice.
Siddhant would love to travel to nearby lands on a magic broom to explore the culture, people and their cinema – but for now, he enjoys exploring on four wheels.
India suffers from a lack of skilled paramedicals – a problem which has plagued its healthcare system for some time. India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare set up the Regional Institute of Allied Health Sciences to help bridge that skills gap, with a vision for eight teaching institutes across the country.
The Lucknow Cantonment Board – a governmental body in northern India – appointed us to design a new convention centre. The building would replace an existing community centre, and needed to provide a full suite of facilities for hosting conferences and conventions: meetings halls, a large multi-purpose hall, accommodation for visitors, and outdoor spaces.
Conceived to support a new housing zone on the outskirts of Delhi, Pacific World School needed to balance a grand scale with a wholesome, fulfilling environment. To meet this challenge, we knew that we had to apply lessons learned from other projects for the client, planning for a school which could accommodate 6,240 pupils over […]
As a director, Wayne is primarily responsible for managing the Oxford studio. He is also involved in the continuous development of the practice BIM strategy and our integrated design joint venture, Corde, as well as being a lead support for our India studio. Wayne’s key strengths are in the education and community sectors, and his expertise ranges from developing school briefs through to managing higher education frameworks.
Outside of work, Wayne is a school governor, captains a squash team, and occasionally shows glimpses of his former county-standard golfing. He juggles these with being a father of two amazing daughters while building a new house with SIPs.
As a city famous for education, Oxford was lacking in science education centres for younger children. It was also direly in need of space for smaller science and innovation companies. With this in mind, the Oxford Trust and Science Oxford teamed up to create a science education and innovation centre in the East Oxford suburb […]
Oxford has grown rapidly over the last 50 years, but a lack of new schools has placed a real strain on resources. To remedy this, we were appointed to design a completely new secondary school in the northern suburb of Marston, along with an Alternative Provision (AP) Academy on a nearby site.
Forming part of a new community being built on the outskirts of Didcot, Aureus School needed to serve as one of the beating hearts of that community, echoing and supporting its values. Didcot is emerging as a technology town of the future, and the new school’s curriculum would reflect this with a focus on STEAM […]
Perfectly placed at the heart of the new Trumpington Southern Fringe neighbourhood in Cambridge, Clay Farm Community Centre is a focal point for both its existing and emerging communities.
Built in 1938, the University of Reading’s sports pavilion was in dire need of replacement. The University chose us to design a new pavilion, located south-west of the existing building so that it could be demolished after the new building was complete.
Oxford Castle is one of the city’s oldest sites, with a history stretching back almost a thousand years. It had most recently been used as a prison, but following the prison’s closure, Oxfordshire County Council wanted to open up the Castle as a destination for the whole city to enjoy.
Siobhan is a highly experienced director, with over 20 years of wide-ranging experience. During this time, she has led a range of highly complex projects from inception to completion within the public sector.
Siobhan has expertise in designing clinical environments and major healthcare refurbishments. She has managed contracts for both traditional and NHS frameworks.
She has a particular interest in sustainable design, and brings these principles to all of her projects.
We’ve worked on several refurbishment projects for Heriot-Watt University, designing spaces from lecture theatres to a café. On every project, the University emphasised the importance of understanding how students learn in the 21st century: spaces needed to be flexible and varied, with up-to-date technology that would encourage students to stay on campus.
Stephen is ADP’s chief executive. He leads the global business plan and operational management of the practice on behalf of the board. His practice-wide role involves supporting public sector and commercial projects, as well as business development and client liaison. He has significant experience in a range of sectors – particularly the education and residential sectors.
Stephen is a Fellow of the RIAS, and a nationally elected trustee of the incorporation. He is also one of the 25 accredited sustainable design architects in Scotland recognised by the RIAS.
Stephen enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and keeping fit. He can often be found on the tennis courts or golf course.
Designing a new early years centre is a challenging – but exciting – project. As children’s first formal experience of education, the Glenburn Early Years Centre needed to inspire a lifelong love of learning, and to give young children a nurturing, safe environment to explore and discover together.

This new facility tackles many of the assumptions of the packaging industry, giving an alternative – and highly efficient – way of doing business. The building needed to bring the design and manufacturing processes into one place, cutting out the time involved in going back and forth between concept and delivery.
As ADP’s school sector lead, Claire leads the practice’s school strategy. She shares lessons learned, best practice and specialist knowledge across our studios and the sector more widely.
Claire believes that the only way to create responsive, inspiring learning environments is to put pupils at the centre of the design process, consulting closely with user working groups to understand staff requirements.
This year, she has been working to incorporate ‘design for wellbeing’ into all of our school briefs and designs, using an evidence-based approach. She is also leading post occupancy evaluations of our schools to appraise their performance and gain feedback from pupils and staff.
We have designed and delivered a growing number of schools for Star Academies (previously known as the Tauheedul Education Trust). Delivering a number of schools for the same trust can present opportunities – for instance, we’ve carried over a number of successes and lessons learned from one project to the next.

As one of our directors, Natalie is responsible for the business development of our new Cyprus studio. She has particular experience within the education sector and masterplanning.
Natalie’s greatest strengths are her philosophy of uncompromised quality and passion for what she does, which gain clients’ trust from the very first meeting.
She is an RIBA, ARB and Cyprus ETEK member, and is keen to promote ADP’s experience in Cyprus and the EU.
Travelling, exploring, hiking, exercising, socialising – everything that doesn’t involve standing still is what Natalie enjoys in life.
Liz is a director who co-leads our London studio. She has extensive experience in the education, research and healthcare sectors, with particular expertise in leisure and community projects.
With a dual master’s degree in Architecture and Town and Regional Planning, Liz has eased projects through the planning stage in sensitive and difficult locations, often working with complex stakeholder groups. She is especially adept at working on masterplans, and taking forward early-stage feasibilities and design briefs.
Liz’s award-winning schemes include Augustine House at Canterbury Christ Church University, and the Forum in Southend.
Our design for the Forum focused on bringing the three different types of user together in a shared community space. A central atrium helps students and members of the public to feel more connected, while giving the building itself a powerful, unified identity.
Every successful project deserves a sequel. The Forum – designed by ADP in 2013 – has transformed Elmer Square in Southend into a cultural hub, and the Council decided to team up with South Essex College once again for a “younger sibling” nearby.
Southend-on-Sea’s iconic pleasure pier – the longest in the world – has had a rocky history. The original pavilion at the shore head burned down in 1959; a bowling alley that replaced it met a similar fate in 1995. The Council now want to build a new pavilion on the site, and appointed us to […]
Founded in 1906, Phyllis Court is a historic private members club on the banks of the Thames in Henley. Members expect the highest quality of facilities – so when the Club appointed us to design a new fitness centre, we knew that we would need to approach the project from the members’ point of view, […]
Living with autism can present difficulties at every turn, from the anxiety of eye contact to troubles communicating. It also affects people in radically different ways – which makes designing spaces for people on the spectrum a tough (and rewarding) challenge.
As our chair, Craig’s role focuses on the strategic direction and management of the practice. Alongside this, he continues his involvement in projects through leading design reviews and his role as an accredited RIBA Client Adviser.
Craig is particularly interested in the outcomes a project can achieve. By measuring key sustainability, belonging and engagement factors, he makes sure that we deliver aspirational projects which provide clients and communities with real value.
Outside of ADP, Craig is a member of the Construction Excellence Committee, coaches children’s rugby, and (when time permits) is also refurbishing his family home.
Our brief at Chesham Preparatory School was to design a suite of new facilities – a swimming pool, dining hall, performance space, and additional classrooms – along with landscapes around the buildings. The range of spaces presented opportunities as well as challenges, but the key hurdle to overcome was the fact that the site was […]
The Elmsbrook Local Centre is our ambitious vision for a true zero-carbon town centre in north-east Oxfordshire. The developer – A2Dominion – needed the centre to reflect the sustainable values of the wider community, which is the country’s first true zero-carbon development on a large scale.
In a historic city like Oxford, opportunities for new housing are few and far between. We were excited to have the chance to convert a 1960s office building in the city centre into a suite of compact flats, adding a rooftop extension: the challenge lay in making the best use of limited space.
Activate Learning is a group of further education colleges in the South East, including City of Oxford College, Banbury and Bicester College, and Reading College. We’ve completed a number of projects for the group in the past – ranging from campus masterplans to teaching buildings.

Ranjan doesn’t take anything for granted – he researches every element of a project down to the last detail. Sustainability and “doing the right thing in the right way” are of utmost importance, and he believes that there is no greater motivation than a commitment made. As director, Ranjan runs our Delhi studio with zeal and determination. These qualities are recognised and appreciated by his colleagues, clients and consultants, helping him to develop strong professional relationships.
Ranjan likes to unwind by cooking, and he enjoys putting his amateur chef skills to test by experimenting with unconventional food.
