We’re thrilled to announce that we will be supporting the design of a new home for Getaway Girls. For over 30 years, this charity in Leeds has been transforming the lives of girls and young women facing challenges from abuse to economic difficulty, but they’ve outgrown their current facilities and are desperately in need of a new site to help them continue their crucial work.

The project will be constructed in under two weeks, and feature on “DIY SOS: BBC Children in Need 2022” in November. The new building will include offices, a crêche, activity spaces, a music and media studio, counselling rooms and a garden.

ADP is pleased to be providing pro bono interior design services, and has commissioned paid help from Ukrainian practice Ars Longa. We previously worked with this practice to deliver a hotel in Kyiv, and have continued to work alongside them and provide support through the war, while also welcoming one of their architects – Maria Oskina – as an ADP employee in our London studio.

Also showing their support are Keepmoat Homes, who have provided the land for the centre, and BBC Radio 2, who will be helping deliver this fantastic outreach project to build a lasting legacy in Leeds as part of Radio 2 Live. The project is one of a number of pro bono projects ADP is carrying out this year – we look forward to being a part of the team improving the support available to young women and girls across Leeds.
