We’re pleased to announce that ADP has been certified as a B Corp. This recognises that we’re part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact. At the time of certifying, we are the highest scoring architecture practice in the world with a score of 139.6 (out of 200) in the B Impact Assessment.
Our journey to becoming a B Corp began in late 2020, when we first heard about the certification from fellow B Corp, Earth Strategies, and considered whether it would be right for us. B Corp is the most widely recognised certification of its kind across the world, known for its rigorous standards and holistic scope.
Over the last two years, we’ve been through a tough certification process involving 257 assessment questions and over 70 verification documents. We’re joining a global community of B Corps which includes brands such as Patagonia and the Body Shop, as well as 10 other UK architecture practices certified as B Corps.
Tom White, ADP’s impact and communications executive who led the certification process, said “We couldn’t be more proud of this result. ADP became an employee-owned practice five years ago, and this certification shows the positive impact that’s created not only for our co-owners, but for everyone affected by our projects. The key now is to build on that success, and we’ll be continuing to use the B Impact Assessment to help improve our impact on the world.”
Craig Cullimore, ADP’s chair, said “ADP believes that people and our environment are what really matters, so we’re delighted to be recognised by B Corp for our achievements so far. We do, however, remain focused on making a difference and ensuring ADP is a great place to work and create. We seek like-minded clients to continue our work, so that together we can have a positive impact on our whole community.”
