James is an architect with experience in working across multiple sectors, such as commercial, higher education and residential projects. He enjoys understanding the social history of a place and how architecture informs and is informed by its context. This interest has been demonstrated when working on listed projects and projects of heritage importance.
When out of office, James can be found in an independent coffee shop, renovating his 1930s do-er upper or reupholstering reclaimed furniture.
