Marking a major step in the regeneration of Gloucester, City Campus was officially opened on Friday by HRH The Princess Royal.
This landmark adaptive reuse project provides modern, welcoming learning and collaborative spaces for the University of Gloucestershire and wider community.
Natalia and James, key members of the ADP project team, attended the event after leading the transformation of the redundant Art Deco Debenhams department store into a vibrant new university campus. The development also brings together a community library for Gloucestershire County Council and an Arts, Health and Wellbeing Centre delivered in partnership with the NHS Integrated Care Board.

Reflecting on the milestone, Natalia said “I’m incredibly proud of the ADP team and everyone involved in the project, and of what we have achieved. This project is a strong exemplar of how the repurposing and reuse of existing buildings can have a transformative impact on regeneration.”

City Campus recently won the Heritage and Regeneration Award at the Believe in Gloucester Award.
